Frankly Music: A Milwaukee Chamber Music Series

For this opening trio concert, we welcome the gifted pianist Andrew Armstrong and the esteemed cellist Robert deMaine, both noted for their solo abilities as well as their numerous chamber music collaborations worldwide. The program includes the rarely heard trio from a very young Rachmaninov, as well as the edgy work of Ellen Taaffe Zwilich and the Brahms B major trio.

Here we take a journey into the world of Bach, with his monumental variations originally written for keyboard. For this virtuoso transcription by the eminent violinist/conductor Dmitri Sitkovetsky, FM favorite Edward Arron returns, along with the brilliant violist Kyle Armbrust. Michael Mizrahi also joins us for some keyboard insights.
