Frankly Music: A Milwaukee Chamber Music Series

For our opening concert, we welcome a few musicians from the Milwaukee Symphony, showcasing the extraordinary clarinetist Todd Levy. The program features the much-loved Quintet of Brahms, the Sonata for clarinet and piano by the Polish-Soviet composer Mieczyslaw Weinberg, and the sensational Contrasts of Bela Bartók.

For this program we are honored to feature Tamás Varga, principal cello of the Vienna Philharmonic. The intriguing program includes solo works for cello by Ligeti, Ibert, and Gál, followed by the C major piano trio of Johannes Brahms. We also welcome the pianist Stephen Beus, also making his first FM appearance.
